Moya arrived at Love Lions Alive sanctuary after he and his brother, Sasha, were rescued from the world of professional hunting. As cubs they were offered for sale to hunters, who could come back to hunt them once they grew. However, in a miraculous turn of events, the girlfriend of one of the hunters bought these cubs to give to us instead.

Moya was nine-months-old in 2016 when he moved onto the Love Lions Alive sanctuary. The first enclosure we put him and his brother in was 1.5 Ha, but they were petrified at first and always hid within the large space. We then moved them into an “introduction camp”, which are much smaller and good for monitoring the cats inside them. Moya began to settle into his new home, and Natacha even moved in with him and his brother, Sasha. They formed a close bond and Natacha and Moya love to snuggle and show each other affection.
