Summer

Summer is a wild-caught lioness cub from Egypt. She was being sold on the black market when she was discovered and rescued by locals. Her relocation to Love Lions Alive Sanctuary was a months-long example of an international rescue effort. We all found it imperative that this beautiful little cub find her forever home, which she has found with us.

After Summer’s safe travel all the way from Egypt to South Africa, she underwent detailed health checks and vet procedures. Once all permit clearances were met, she was swiftly on her way to her home at LLA. Summer has settled in wonderfully, embracing her life here in leaps and bounds.

We are all smitten with this young, vibrant and curious lioness.
